Questions & Answers

Q: Do you travel outside London
A: I travel and shoot at many locations around the UK and abroad however the prices will differ from the central London prices advertised within the website. Destination weddings are discussed in detail so costs are kept as affordable as can be.

Q: How do we book?
A: Please contact me via the contact page or call me to check your date first, we can then arrange a call so you get a feel for me and if Im a good fit for your day, you then pay a deposit to hold your date with the balance being paid 4 weeks prior to your wedding day.

Q: Do you only shoot Monday - Friday?
A: I also weekends if I'm available but only full day weddings, which pricing is higher than advertised on this website.

Q: Can I add additional hours to the packages you offer.
A: Absolutely, you can add hours to the existing packages for £150 per hour or we can tailor something specific to your day.
Q: How are you able to offer these prices for central London.
A: I was born and raised in Central London, so I work close to home and don't have the long travel times or additional costs that many photographers build into their packages. By focusing exclusively on Monday to Friday weddings in Central London, I can keep my prices affordable while delivering the same high-end photography and attention to detail that my couples expect.

Q: Why is your name Matt but your website/business is called Alexander Beau?
A: My eldest son's middle name is Alexander and my middle son's middle name is Beau, I have a youngest son also but he was not born when I set the company up so the older boys beat him to it ha ha.

Q: How can you turn the images around so fast.
A: As mentioned I live in central London so my travel time to and from is most venues is very short, which allows me to download and cull the images on the same day/evening ready for me to start editing the next day. I do not overload my days either, which allows me to build in sufficient editing time.

Q: How do I receive my images.
A: You will receive a private online gallery link so you can download all your images and share them if you wish.

Q: Whats your approach to wedding photography.
A: Having over 15 years experience I've developed a very unobtrusive approach whilst covering the fun, laughter and chaos of your day whilst keeping you at the centre of attention. Telling your story in true documentary approach is how I like work.

Q: Do you offer albums or Photo books.
A: Yes, I work with your selected images and design albums and photo books, which you then sign off once you're happy with the lay outs. I then send the design to production and delivery is within 10 days. My albums and photo books are all handmade in Europe.

Q: Do you have insurance.
A: Im fully insured and can provide documents upon request.

Q: Do you shoot photo and video at the same time.
A: For me to cover your wedding in how is should be I do not believe one person can cover both mediums. I work with very experienced videographer's and can certainly help arrange this for you or make introductions.

Q: Why do couple choose you.
A: Because they don't want their wedding to feel like one long photoshoot or a Westend musical.
The first thing most couples tell me is, "We're so awkward in front of the camera." By the time we've spent a little time together, they are completely relaxed around me and the camera, which leads to natural/beautiful photography.

For me, great wedding photography starts with building a genuine connection. The more comfortable you feel around me, the more relaxed, natural and authentic your photographs become. I'm not just turning up with a camera I'm getting to know you, having a laugh with your friends and family, blending into the day, and capturing the moments that matter without making them feel staged.
The result is a gallery that feels like your wedding, not a photoshoot.

Don't just take my word for it. Have a read through my testimonials to see what past couples have said about working with me. Time and time again, they tell me they felt completely at ease, actually enjoyed having their photos taken, and barely noticed the camera was there.

If you have questions that may have missed please feel free to let me know.
